National Biodiversity Week - 15th to 23rd May

Today, 22nd May 2021 is the International Day for Biological Diversity.  The theme is "We're part of the solution #ForNature".  Simply letting nature be and not trying to control it too much is one part of the solution.

Ever wondered about the name of the plant growing in your garden, or which bird is on your feeder, or what bug is on your flower?  This weekend, as part of National Biodiversity Week, you can contact ecologists and wildlife experts and they will identify them for you.  You simply need to share a photo on Twitter or Instagram with #BackyardBioblitz, and tag @IrishEnvNet on Twitter or @national.biodiversity.week on Instagram.

We are getting some great photos of biodiversity in our gardens and our wider community.  We’d love to see more so keep sending them in to us at clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com.
