29 Sep 2017

The CRA has just received the below information from KN Network, the contractor on the S2S Cycleway, that there will be a closure in place at the Woodenbridge Road, commencing this Monday, October 2nd (to reopen Monday, October 9th)

Access to the Bull Wall cottages, Sea Scout Den and Royal Dublin will be via the Causeway Road (see above image) and through the private road at Royal Dublin. Please note that there will only be access for residents and emergency vehicles and NO PEDESTRIANS will have access.

Please see the statement from KN Network below:

As part of the S2S Interim Cycleway & Footway Scheme in Clontarf, Dublin 3, works are scheduled to commence on the installation of a new Flood Relief Barrier, associated underground drainage and road resurfacing works on the Bull Road/ Wooden Bridge Road from Monday 2nd of October.   As a result, a temporary road closure from the 2nd of October 2017 to 8th of October 2017 inclusive, will be necessary to facilitate the works. Access for motorists and pedestrians will not be permitted.

Access to the Bull Wall Cottages Road will be diverted via the Causeway Road and through the private golf course access road which the Royal Dublin Golf Club have kindly allowed residents and emergency vehicles admission during the closures. ( See attached location map outlining the diversion route)

Any inconvenience that may be caused is regretted and any co-operation during this period would be greatly appreciated. It is our intention to minimise the impact on surrounding residents and businesses.  Again we apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during the works and we will endeavour to minimise disruption as much as possible
