Wine & Dine Your Valentine in Clontarf!

For some people February signifies the real start to the New Year. The January blues are finally behind us, the days are getting brighter, and our wallets are slightly fuller after a long awaited payday! For others, the month of February brings something else important - Valentine’s Day. So whether you’re a hopeless romantic looking to spoil that special someone in your life, or you fancy a night or celebration with friends to spread the love (yes, we think Galentine’s Day or Palentine’s Day is a fantastic idea!), forget the expensive chocolates and dust-collecting teddy bears and book a table at one of Clontarf’s fantastic local restaurants to celebrate in the name of St. Valentine! (Ps. It’s Tuesday 14th February, for those of you who might be prone to forgetting!)

Viking Steakhouse

Viking Steakhouse, will be open from 5pm on Valentine’s Day and will be offering a very special three course set menu for only €28 (including a steak option). The dessert will be a house special dessert for two to share and there will be a complimentary glass of bubbles for everyone on arrival.

Moloughney's

Moloughney’s will be welcoming all diners with a complimentary glass of Prosecco (when enjoying the full dinner experience of 2 - 3 courses)

For those who aren’t into V-day, Moloughney’s sister restaurant Olive’s Room at the Red Stables will kick off their Fork Supper evenings on Saturday 11th February, promising zero  mentions of Valentine’s Day, and just a great night out for friends and food lovers with a special 4-course menu for €27 including all local and seasonal produce!

Yang’s

Fresh off a fantastic Chinese New Year Celebration at the end of January, Yang’s will celebrate the most romantic day of the year by offering a complimentary rosé to all the ladies.

Bay Restaurant 

Bay will host live music on Valentine’s night. Guests will be serenaded by the classical guitar, adding to the romantic setting of seaside dining. Music starts at 7.30 pm and the a la carte menu will be available to ensure a range of choice for all diners! Call 01 853 2406 to reserve a table. 

Fishbone 

Since opening in August last year, Fishbone has brought an element of the Mediteranean to the Clontarf Coast, and they will continue to tie this theme in for their Valentine's Day celebrations with live spanish guitar from 7.30 pm. The a la carte menu is available all night and we definitely recommend choosing one of their delicious cocktails - sure to impress your v-day date! Fahrenheit Grill

What’s more romantic than treating your Valentines to an evening in a 12th Century castle? Clontarf Castle’s Fahrenheit grill will host their special “Head Over Heels” Valentine’s Dinner Experience from the 11th - 18th February. Kinara

If you fancy ‘spicing’ things up this Valentine’s day, Kinara has a whole host of options for you! Exotic food, delicious cocktails and fantastic views of Dublin Bay - your Valentine is sure to be impressed!

Pigeon House

Pigeon House on Vernon Avenue is certain to be a romantic spot for any love birds (pun absolutely intended) on the Tuesday 14th February, which also happens to be steak night at the  restaurant! For bookings call 01 805 7567

And remember, the evening doesn’t need to end here, there’s always the option of a night cap in one of the many watering holes here in Clontarf such as Graingers, The Bram Stoker, Harry Byrnes and the Sheds and the Yacht

And if you’re not too into Valentine’s day, but want to give your significant other a night off from kitchen duties, or you just fancy a treat: Block Burger, Kanoodle and La Costa are all great options that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own couch!
