Jennifer Foley Hair Salon & Wig Specialist is one of Clontarf’s most recognisable businesses. Back in 1949, the doors of the salon were opened by Maureen Foley. Even before the salon opened, Maureen was a highly skilled hairdresser, having begun her training at just 14 years old. The success of the salon was immediate, and the salon quickly earned a golden reputation not just in Clontarf but throughout Dublin City.
In 1983, Maureen’s daughter Jennifer took over the family business, having been reared within the family business alongside her brother Jack. This was after Jennifer trained in other reputable Dublin salons to add to to her skill set. Since Jennifer took over, she has been dedicated to upholding her mother’s high standard of work, but has injected new and exciting elements to the business as well - a prime example of this is the salon’s specialization in both wigs and hair extensions.
Jennifer Foley Hair Salon is a Redken approved studio. All of the stylists are sent to Redken’s training centre for regular classes on new techniques and colour. In fact, Jennifer’s philosophy is to stay up to date with cutting-edge hair care techniques. In her own words: “I have a passion to make my clients look and feel better.”
