We have been busy following Ellen Keanes progress in sunny Montreal.

On her first day at the world championship Ellen failed to make finals in her 100 m free.

She finished 9th going into the final. A good time of 1.08.57.

She was selected to carry the Irish flag in the opening ceremony, which takes later today. pictured here.

Ellen Keane was Ireland’s youngest athlete when she swam in the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. At just 13 years old, she competed impressively, placing sixth in the 100m breaststroke.
