Water Restrictions Remain in Place

14 Aug 2012

Almost two weeks on, the water restrictions for about 1,400 homes in Clontarf still remain in place due to the presence of bacteria in the water supply.

The Irish Times covered the restrictions again today, with very little new information. However, there were some things of note.

  • Times during which the tankers will be in Clontarf is now confirmed as being from 7:30am to 7:30pm.
  • Valves were replaced at the weekend to improve water circulation in the area.

Residents are still being told to boil their water prior to drinking or using it for cooking.

Astute observers of the above report will note that the photo is not of Vernon Avenue (which is unaffected by the supply issue) as stated but of St. Lawrence Road.
