Volunteers Needed: Bull Island Beach Clean-Up, October 2024

Bull Island Action Group is committed to keeping our shores clean and pristine, and they need your help to make it happen. Volunteer this Saturday, 19th October, for a beach clean up at Dollymount Beach.

Details:

  • Date: Saturday, 19th Oct, 2024
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Entrance to Dollymount Strand (Just past Royal Dublin Golf Club)
  • Meeting Point: Our storage container behind the Happy Out Café

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Equipment Provided: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests, and rubbish bags
  • What to Bring: Your own work gloves (essential!), sunscreen, wellies or boots, and a rain jacket just in case
  • Work Areas: The beach, sand dunes, inner shore, and the causeway, if we have enough volunteers.
  • Weather Forecast: It will be cloudy with sunny spells. There will be a fresh breeze from south west. The temperature will be approx. 11C. (Source: yr.no)
  • Tide Information: High water will be at 13:21 - height 4.19m.

Note: Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer, along with a driver, to help haul away the debris collected.
