Volunteers Needed: Bull Island Beach Clean-Up, November 2024
*IMPORTANT NOTICE*
Owing to the Clontarf Races, there will be traffic restrictions along the Clontarf Road and the James Larkin Road between 09:45 and 11:45 next Saturday. There will be no access for vehicles to Bull Island across the Wooden Bridge during these times. If you are planning to drive, please park on the mainland and then walk over to the meeting point.

Time: 11:00 a.m. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early.
Place: The entrance to Dollymount Strand, just past Royal Dublin Golf Club at the storage container behind the Happy Out Café.

Duration: 2 hours.
Equipment: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests and rubbish bags are provided. Please remember to bring your own work gloves. Hand sanitiser will be provided before and after the cleanup.
Work Areas: The beach, the sand dunes, the inner shore, and the causeway, if there are enough volunteers. There will be an inspection on Friday in order check which areas need to be prioritised.
DCC: Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer plus driver to haul away what we pick up.
Weather: It will be cool and cloudy with a light breeze from the north west. The temperature will be approx. 6-9 C. Applying sunscreen is always advisable. Wearing wellies or boots is a good idea. Remember to bring a rain jacket with you!
