Volunteers Needed: Join Bull Island Action Group for a Beach Clean-Up!

Bull Island Action Group is committed to keeping our shores clean and pristine, and they need your help to make it happen. Volunteer this Saturday, 20th April, for a beach clean up at Dollymount Beach.

Details:

• Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024
• Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Location: Entrance to Dollymount Strand (Just past Royal Dublin Golf Club)
• Meeting Point: Our storage container behind the Happy Out Café

• Duration: 2 hours
• Equipment Provided: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests, and rubbish bags
• What to Bring: Your own work gloves (essential!), sunscreen, wellies or boots, and a rain jacket just in case
• Work Areas: The beach, sand dunes, inner shore, and the causeway, if we have enough volunteers.
• Weather Forecast: Cloudy, cool, and dry with a light northwest breeze. Temperature: 8-12°C. (Source: yr.no)
• Tide Information: We'll be working while the tide is fully in, with high water at 10:41 (height 3.63m) and low water at 16:31 (height 0.87m). (Source: Dublin Port)

Note: Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer, along with a driver, to help haul away the debris collected.
