Volunteers Needed for Bull Island Action Group Beach Clean-Up!
Bull Island Action Group is committed to keeping our shores clean and pristine, and they need your help to make it happen. Volunteer this Saturday, 21st September, for a beach clean up at Dollymount Beach.
Details:
- Date: Saturday, 21st Sept, 2024
- Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- Location: Entrance to Dollymount Strand (Just past Royal Dublin Golf Club)
- Meeting Point: Our storage container behind the Happy Out Café

- Duration: 2 hours
- Equipment Provided: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests, and rubbish bags
- What to Bring: Your own work gloves (essential!), sunscreen, wellies or boots, and a rain jacket just in case
- Work Areas: The beach, sand dunes, inner shore, and the causeway, if we have enough volunteers.
- Weather Forecast: gentle breeze from north east and some rain is expected. The temperature is will be approx. 15C. (Source: yr.no)
- Tide Information: High water will be at 14:16 - height 4.06m. This means that the tide will be rising for the duration of our clean-up and will be almost full when we are finished. (Source: Dublin Port)
Note: Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer, along with a driver, to help haul away the debris collected.
