Volunteers Needed: Dollymount Beach Clean-Up!

Bull Island Action Group is dedicated to preserving the beauty of our coastline, and they're calling for your support to achieve this goal. Volunteer your time this Saturday, 18th May, for a rewarding beach clean-up at Dollymount Beach.

Details:

  • Date: Saturday, 18 May, 2024
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Entrance to Dollymount Strand (Just past Royal Dublin Golf Club)
  • Meeting Point: Our storage container behind the Happy Out Café

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Equipment Provided: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests, and rubbish bags
  • What to Bring: Your own work gloves (essential!), sunscreen, wellies or boots, and a rain jacket just in case
  • Work Areas: The beach, sand dunes, inner shore, and the causeway, if we have enough volunteers.
  • Weather Forecast: Warm, sunny day with a gentle breeze from the north west. Temperature: 17°C. (Source: yr.no)
  • Tide Information: High water will be at 09:05 - height 3.45m. Low water will be at 15:01 - height 1.10m. This means that when we start working when the tide will be fully in and then it will begin to recede. (Source: Dublin Port)
