Volunteers Needed: Dollymount Beach Clean-Up July 2024!

Bull Island Action Group is dedicated to preserving the beauty of our coastline, and they're calling for your support to achieve this goal. Volunteer your time this Saturday, 20th July, for a rewarding beach clean-up at Dollymount Beach.

Details:

• Date: Saturday, 20th July, 2024
• Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early.
• Location: Entrance to Dollymount Strand (Just past Royal Dublin Golf Club)
• Meeting Point: Our storage container behind the Happy Out Café

• Duration: 2 hours
• Equipment Provided: Litter pickers, bag hoops, hi-vis vests, and rubbish bags. Hand sanitiser will be provided before and after the cleanup. Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer plus driver to haul away what we pick up.
• What to Bring: Your own work gloves (essential!), sunscreen, wellies or boots. Bring a rain jacket with you, just in case!
• Work Areas: The beach, the sand dunes, the inner shore, and the causeway, if we have enough volunteers. We will conduct an inspection on Friday in order check which areas need to be prioritised.
