Vincent Jennings, CEO of CSNA, makes the case for community stores

03 Apr 2012

As regular readers will know, we have, in recent months been heavily promoting the value of shopping locally in Clontarf.

A vibrant business community is all in our interests. It's good for providing jobs for our children and grandchildren, it's good for the environment and it's good for choice... and a lot more besides.

Our attention was drawn recently to a letter written by Vincent Jennings who is the Chief Executive of the Convenience Stores and Newsagents Association. It's addressed to RTE broadcaster (and local Clontarf resident!) Joe Duffy and it outlines the various functions provided by local newsagent and convenience stores, and the consequent value that accrues to fellow retailers and the community in general.

It's worth a read and it can be viewed here on the Shelflife website.
