The two planters at the bottom of Vernon Ave were replanted yesterday morning with some pollinator-friendly perennials. They'll take a couple of weeks to get established but they're off to a good start with a fresh layer of organic peat-free compost and a top dressing of homemade locally sourced leaf mould.
Huge shout out to Nolan's Hardware for supplying the compost and the plants.
Clontarf Residents' Association, Clontarf Tidy Towns and Clontarf Gardening Society are working together on replanting the remaining planters along the Clontarf Road over the coming weeks.
