Vernon Ave to Clontarf Road Active Travel Project - 2026
A message from Clontarf Residents’ Association:
Residents will be aware that CRA has been actively looking for improvements to the public realm in Vernon Avenue (see links to previous posts below).
At the same time, Dublin City Council (DCC) have been looking to complete the Coolock to Clontarf Active Travel Scheme. The design of the section from Gracefield Road Vernon Avenue at the junction with Seafield Road has been finalised and further details can be found here.
DCC are working on the section of Vernon Ave from Seafield Road to the Clontarf Road. Today, June 10th, DCC launched a public consultation for this project. This consultation will run until July 10th. DCC will hold an Information Evening on Tuesday 23rd June from 3pm to 7pm in Clontarf GAA Clubhouse, Seafield Road. DCCs information leaflet can be viewed here and full details of the proposal, including design drawings and images can be found on their website. This documentation will also be on display, during the consultation period, at Raheny Library, D05 VY99, and Marino Library, D03 VW10.
We would encourage all residents to familiarise themselves with the proposal and participate in the public consultation process by reviewing the documents, attending the public information session and by giving feedback to DCC.
CRA will be making observations on this matter and we would welcome your feedback on the proposal by email to clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com.
