Tidal Warning for Christmas Eve - Promenade Car Parks Closed
DCC would like to let you know that the car parks on the Clontarf promenade will be closed because of a high tide tomorrow.
Having analysed tide parameters to next Sunday 27th December, forecast tide levels for Dublin City are as follows;
The highest, which is forecast to reach a level of 2.37m Malin (4.88m CD), at 12.40pm on Saturday, is above the 2.3m Malin Tidewatch level, but below the 2.5m Tide Alert level and below the 2.7m Severe Tide Alert level. Code Yellow.
However, the Triton forecasting system is forecasting a high yellow zone tide tomorrow morning at 10.36am following 40knot winds on the Irish sea tonight, 23rd December
The high tide on Christmas Eve at 10 36 a.m. is expected to be extremely high and is predicted to come in at above Dublin City Council’s Tide Alert levels. As a precautionary measure the car parks at Clontarf promenade will be closed today.
