The Red Stables Christmas Art Programme 2013

13 Dec 2013

St. Annes Park and the Red Stables will have a wonderful selection of Christmas events over this weekend to mark the festive season.

SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER

Christmas Tree Decorations 12.30 - 4.30pm

Join artist Martina Galvin to make a variety of colourful

Christmas decorations, using natural materials, for the

Red Stables Christmas tree and your own tree. The Snow

King and Queen will be in the courtyard from 3.45 - 4.45pm

to help everyone put their decorations on the tree!

Robins and Wrens 12.30 - 4.30pm

Learn about winter garden birds with Biodiversity DCC

and Bird Watch Ireland. Find out how to identify and feed

them and make garden habitats which will help to increase

the chances of the Wren becoming as abundant as the

Robin. Make your own bird feeder or why not make a

Christmas bird tree?

The Tree Lighting Ceremony 4.30pm

Join Councillor Jane Horgan-Jones as she switches on the

Christmas tree lights. The Third Day Chorale will perform a

selection of festive melodies before and after the ceremony.

Christmas Puppet Show 4.45pm - 5.30pm

Conor Lambert’s Custard Pie Puppet Company returns

to The Red Stables with this magical children’s Christmas

show ‘Christmas Crackers’ which embodies the festive

mood and features Santa’s mischievous helpers, Ding and

Dong. Booking Essential. Contact Victoria Kearney
