The 66th Clontarf Scouts

26 Jun 2013

The 66th Clontarf Scouts located at the back of Brian Boru Street, is 81 years old. They have launched a new website for anyone who is looking for information on Scouting in Clontarf. There is also information for those interested in joining Scouting themselves or interested in their children joining.

They are currently recruiting leaders aged 18 years and over, with all training provided. You don't have to be an expert; in fact, if you are enthusiastic, social and fun you sound about right!

Their motto is 'Be Prepared' and their main goal is to help develop a young person. The way they do this is by focusing on different aspects of a person, which they call the 'SPICES'. These aspects include: Social, Physical, Intellectual, Character, Emotional and Spiritual. While integrating the 'SPICES', they also focus on 'FFC' (Fun, Friendship & Challenge) to become a valued member of the community. They cater for all types and ages, from 6 to 106, boys and girls, young and old. Scouts
