Team Dublin Clean Up - Saturday 26th March!
The Team Dublin Clean Up takes place this Saturday 26th February from 11 AM to 1 PM!
TEAM DUBLIN CLEAN UP 2016 will be the biggest community clean up event ever undertaken in Dublin City and is inspired by the success of a similar Team Limerick Clean-Up Event in 2015. It is also based on the premise that a clean Dublin is a Dublin to be proud of and is in fact, a shared responsibility of us all!
The Team Dublin Clean Up for Clontarf is looking for 50 volunteers to help clean up rubbish around Clontarf and another 50 to do so on The Bull Island.
Our very own Joe Duffy, who is a strong advocate for the event given it's date and the significance to the centenary celebrations of the Easter Rising. Check out what Joe Duffy has to say about the Rising in this video and if you get involved in the clean up, you may just see the legendary broadcasting doing the same himself in Clontarf!
The meeting point for Clontarf will be the carpark opposite Vernon Avenue and the plan will be to do a litter pick along the promenade/a sweep outside all the business premises in the vicinity of Vernon Ave. If we get numbers we will could expand to outside other premises near the Hollybrook Road end of Clontarf. The meet up point for those interested in helping clean the Bull Island will meet at 11 am at the entrance to Royal Dublin Golf Club.
Dublin City Council will arrange litter pickers, brushes and gloves for all those who register at www.teamdublincleanup.ie
