01 Sep 2016

This Friday, September 2nd, Cluain Tarbh take part in the Áth Cliath Peil na mBan (Ladies Football) Intermediate Championship Final. Throw in is at 6.45pm in Parnell Park in Donnycarney.

This is the second year in a row and third in 6 years that Clontarf have reached the final. If they win the club will attain Senior Ladies status for the first time.

The team have several players who have played for the Dubs appearing in Leinster and All-Ireland finals from U-14 up to Senior in the last two years. One notable member of panel is former Irish Rugbaí captain Fiona Coghlan who is looking to add to her Junior Championship medal from 2004.

Ladies football and now camogie are growing very fast within the club and success for the team in the final would be a massive boost for the large number of girls taking part in nursery and juvenile teams.

Cluain Tarbh would welcome everyone in the community that is interested in sports to come along for what should be an exciting game as we take on Clanna Gael Fontenoy in a North vs South of the river clash!
