Strictly Scoil Dancing - Scoil Ui Chonaill Fundraising Event!
Scoil Uí Chonaill will host their most exciting event to date on Friday 17th June in the RDS Concert Hall.
'Strictly Scoil Dancing' will see 15 pairs of players and club supporters don their finest dancing shoes, dress up to the nines and perhaps sport some dodgy fake tan - all in the name of raising much-needed funds for one of Clontarf's local sporting clubs!
Scoil Uí Chonaill, located on the Clontarf Road, has a proud history of over 60 years which included two Dublin Senior Championship titles. The Clontarf-based club has an open-door culture operating without a traditional parish base, boasting players not just from Clontarf, but the surrounding areas. Scoil also appeared on RTE's Celebrity Bainisteoir in 2012, with their senior team being coached by the entertaining Paddy Doherty!
Through the 'Strictly Scoul Dancing' event, the Club are hoping to raise funds for a much needed revamp of facilities, including the instalation of state-of-the-art unisex changing rooms, as well as a full professional gym. Fundraising efforts are also necessary in order to keep up with the ongoing costs of ensuring the Club can continue to train, play and compete i.e., jerseys, equipment, utilities and grounds maintenance.
Tickets to 'Strictly Scoil Dancing' will be priced at €20 and will go on sale very soon. This promises to be a great event, which will include 15 dances from some faces you're sure to recognise (ex-Lord Mayor Gerry Breen will be dancing the Tango!). There will also be a whole host of special videos and entertainment! So don't forget to keep the date in your diary and head along on June 17th to support this fantastic local Club.
