Stay Local this Valentine's Day!
After a month of pinching-pennies and zero excuses to celebrate, here at loveclontarf.ie, we’re delighted that February has finally arrived (although it has started off a bit cold…) The great thing about February this year is that there’s not one but two great reasons to celebrate. The first being one of our personal favourites; Pancake Tuesday which takes place Tuesday 13th February and of course, Valentines Day!
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic, or you just want to (or have to!) mark the occasion in some way, why not stay local and treat your guy or gal or pal to an evening out right here in Clontarf. Check out a list of local spots below perfect for wining and dining on the 14th!
The always lovely Olive’s Room at the Red Stables will host their now annual ‘Not a Romantic Fork Supper’. The four-course supper costs €27 pp and is focused on locally grown seasonal produce. The event, which as the name suggest is not romance oriented, kicks off at 7.30 pm. To book your tickets email hello@olivesroom.ie.
They’re also open during the day on Valentine’s Day, which is a perfect excuse to treat yourself to one of their hot chocolates in our opinion!
Moloughney’s, on Vernon Avenue, will be welcoming all diners with a complimentary glass of Prosecco (when enjoying the full dinner experience of 2 - 3 courses). There will also be a selection of seasonal specials on the night!

And remember, the evening doesn’t need to end here, there’s always the option of a nightcap in one of the many watering holes here in Clontarf such as Graingers Pebble Beach, who are offering your second drink free if you show a receipt from any Clontarf Restaurant, Harry Byrnes, the Sheds and the Yacht!
If you’re not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day, the fact that it falls on a Wednesday is a good enough excuse to have a mid-week treat: Block Burger, Kanoodle and La Costa are all great options that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own coach!
Enjoy the celebrations, folks!
