Re: SHD Application no. ABP-305680-19

Proposed Development on the St Paul’s Playing Fields

Residents will be aware of the recent decisions of An Bord Pleanála to grant permission for a large scale residential development on the St Paul’s playing fields while at the same time refusing permission for the school to build new sports facilities.

Our legal team are continuing to investigate grounds for a Judicial Review of the Board’s decision to grant permission for the residential development and we hope to have more information on this shortly.

In the meantime, residents will be interested to know that Mr Pat Crean of the Marlet Property Group, who now own the vast majority of these playing pitches, wrote to us inviting us to meet with them so that they could “present the development and answer any questions” we may have. The full letter can be found by clicking;

We have declined that invitation and have instead suggested that it would be more appropriate if he called a public meeting involving the wider community. A copy of our response letter can be found by clicking;

The CRA takes its lead from its members and the community which it represents. As always, we would welcome your views on this matter by email to clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com.
