Six Days | Local Author Frank Shouldice @ 5 Lamps Fest

01 Apr 2019

Frank Shouldice, a writer who grew up on Hollybrook Road and who's father was very involved in the local community, will hold an upcoming show this Friday 5th April, at the Sean O' Casey Theatre, as part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival.

'SIX DAYS' uses spoken word and original music to portray an evocative reimagining of Easter Week at North King Street during 1916 Rising. Based largely on the personal accounts of those who lived through those tumultuous events 'SIX DAYS' will be performed by playwright and director Frank Shouldice, whose grandfather and namesake was a sniper at the Jameson Malthouse in Smithfield until his arrest at the Four Courts. The spoken word will be accompanied by cellist Frieda Freytag who will compose signature pieces, especially for the performance.

The performance will begin at 8.30 pm on Friday 5th April, at the Sean O' Casey Theatre, St Mary's Road, East Wall. Tickets can be purchased at the following link; www.eventbrite.ie
