Seafield Road Closed 8 AM - 9 AM 18th May to Facilitate Belgrove Cycle Bus

Belgrove Cycle Bus operates four routes each Wednesday coming from Dollymount, Kincora Avenue, Dunluce Road and Clontarf Bus Garage. The 'bus' picks up parents and children on bicycles and scooters, travelling in a convoy, en route to the four Belgrove Schools. The initiative aims to provide a safer experience for all. It is run by parents independent of the schools to encourage more people to cycle or scoot to school. Those wishing to join the Belgrove Cycle Bus can email cyclebusbelgrove@gmail.com.
On Wednesday 18th May, Seafield Road West will be closed to traffic for 1 hour between 8am and 9am. This will allow the Belgrove pupils an opportunity to try out the Belgrove Cycle Bus and to participate in the Walk on Wednesday initiative which encourages pupils to walk, scoot or cycle every Wednesday (Access for residents, school staff, children with special needs and emergency services will be unaffected. Gardai will be based at either end of Seafield Road at Vernon Avenue and Castle Avenue junctions to facilitate this event.)
