S2S Cycle Path - Motorists & Cyclists Use Caution

Although works on the road itself have been completed, the cycle path (on the Wooden Bridge to The Causeway Road) is yet to open. Work has ceased on the cycle path for the time being, due to the restriction of working times which was outlined in the planning.

Construction work on the seaside of the wall and cycle track cannot take place between September & March due to returning wintering birds on the Bull Island and the Lagoon.

As a result, both cars and cyclists are using the narrowed two-lane traffic lanes at present. We would like to remind all motorists who use this stretch of road to be aware or cyclists and visa verse, particularly at night time and during poor conditions.
