Reminder: Bull Island Action Group beach clean up
I hope that you are enjoying our unexpectedly brilliant summer! This is to remind you that the next beach cleanup will take place on Saturday 17th August 2013. Please see the details below.
The group meets at 11:00a.m at the Dollymount Strand entrance, just past Royal Dublin Golf Club. Please try to arrive 10 minutes early. The duration of the litter pick up is approximately 2 hours.
Litter pickers, hoops, gloves and rubbish bags are provided. Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer plus Gerry the driver. Groups are sent to clean the beach, the sand dunes, the inner shore and the causeway.
To get there you can visit this url http://goo.gl/maps/kJh7w . You could also get the Route 130 bus from Lower Abbey Street, get off at the Wooden Bridge and then walk for 5 minutes.
They really appreciate as much help as possible. Bring a friend or a family member along with you. They will get some exercise, lots of fresh air and give us some much needed help. Many hands make light work.
Please see the expected weather and tide information for Saturday below. It will be warm so I recommend that you use sunscreen, wear a hat and bring something to drink. Good footwear is essential and rubber boots are always a good idea.
