26 Mar 2015

Raheny Mission have organised a charity event, a coffee morning and easter raffle. The event will take place at The Cedars, St. Assams Avenue, Raheny on Wednesday 1st April from 10.30 am to 12 noon.

The coffee morning has a €3 admission for which you get tea, coffee and a selection of homemade cakes. In addition to helping a charity it’s an attractive, informal venue in which to relax in very pleasant company.

Furthermore, on April 1st the Easter Raffle will also take place where there are 20 very attractive hampers to be won! Thereafter, the coffee morning is held on the first and third Wednesday of every month, excluding the school holidays.

The Raheny Mission is staffed entirely by volunteers and 100% of the cash raised is passed on to those who need it. Since its foundation in the early 80s, the Mission has raised over €500,000 and has financed medical and educational centres throughout Africa, famine relief schemes in Somalia, disaster relief schemes in the Philippines and Haiti - as well as closer to home for Brother Kevin in Church Street. The bulk of the money raised to date has been distributed by Irish Capuchin missionaries based overseas in the areas where help is needed most.
