Passing of David Furlong - Clontarf Businessman
This morning we were notified of the sad news that David Furlong, a long-standing businessman here in Clontarf, passed away yesterday.
The funeral will take place in St. John the Baptist Church, Clontarf Road at 10 am tomorrow, Saturday 13th August. As per Mr Furlong’s request, on the way to burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, the hearse will pause for a moment outside Spar Vernon Avenue as a mark of respect. Before Gus O’ Hara, Mr. Furlong was the owner of the store at 7 Vernon Avenue for almost 30 years.
