Parking Restrictions - S2S Cycle & Footway Interim Works

29 Mar 2016

The following is a letter which was circulated to local residents by the KN Group. It is in regards to parking restrictions which are being put in place from Thursday 31st March, to facilitate works on the S2S Cycleway & Footway Interim Scheme;

Dear Resident,

Works are continuing on the installation of the Surface Water Drainage and Watermain south of Mount Prospect to Bull Road Junction.

As you were previously informed Traffic Management Fencing will be erected to create a work zone area along the inbound lane for construction activities with the carriageway reduced to 6m wide whilst maintaining two-way traffic.

Due to the reduced width of the road, roadside parking will be suspended with a continuation of temporary yellow lines implemented from Dollymount Avenue to Seafield Road East from the 31st March 2016.  Therefore we would request all cars be removed Thursday morning to enable the works to commence.

Footpath closures to the eastern side of the carriageway will be extended from Mount Prospect Avenue to Bull Road Junction with diversions onto the western footpath via the controlled crossing south of Bull road junction and Watermill Road Junction. Bus Stops will be temporarily relocated along the affected route with directional signage & temporary bus stop signage erected to notify passengers.

Any inconvenience that may be caused is regretted and any co-operation during this period would be greatly appreciated. It is our intention to minimise the impact on surrounding residents and businesses.

KN Network Services would like to ask for your cooperation with our contractors and representatives during these works. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during the works and we will endeavour to minimise disruption as much as possible.

Many Thanks,

John Hyland
