Notice from CRA | Proposed Development on the St Paul’s Playing Fields

15 Nov 2019

Residents will be aware that Crekav/Marlet have lodged yet another application for a major housing development on the St. Paul’s playing fields in St Anne’s Park.  Full details of the planning application can be found on the developer’s website - https://stpaulsshd2.ie/.

The application has been lodged under the Strategic Housing Development legislation so observations are submitted directly to An Bord Pleanála.  The final date for observations on this proposal is not later than 5.30 pm on Tuesday the 19th of November.  Observations must be accompanied by a fee of 20 Euro.

We would encourage residents to write their letter of observations over the weekend.

If you are not in a position to deliver your letter directly to ABP there are a number of collection points locally:

  • Mc Cabe Auctioneers, Vernon Ave – (please put your letter in the collection box inside)
  • Marlowe Cleaners, Clontarf Road – (please put your letter in the collection box inside)
  • 35 Castle Ave, - (please put your letter in the post box outside the house)

The final collection from these locations will be close of business on Monday evening so that they can be delivered to ABP on Tuesday.  Remember to include your name and address on the letter and the €20 fee - otherwise, your observation will be deemed invalid.

Also, this weekend I Love St Anne’s are holding a rally – ‘Hands Around The Lands’ – on Sunday 17th November at 11.30 am meeting at the Sybil Hill gates.  The plan is to walk into the park and form a human chain around the outside of the playing fields.  The park can be mucky at this time of the year, and you never now what Irish weather will throw at you so please wear suitable clothing and footwear.  Red, Hands of our Park, t-shirts will be on sale for €5 at the rally.  We would encourage residents to attend this event if possible.

Keep up to date on this issue by following the I Love St Anne’s Website and Facebook.

As always, we would welcome feedback from residents by email to clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com
