Notice from CRA Re Proposed Interpretive Centre

The following is a notice from the Clontarf Residents’ Association regarding the proposed new Interpretive Centre for the Bull Island

DCC is continuing to develop plans for a new Interpretative Centre on Bull Island. They propose to locate this on the Causeway Road just before the entrance to St. Anne’s Golf Club. Their plan includes exhibition and interpretation areas, a direct and indirect viewing area, education rooms, a retail area, an indoor and outdoor winter garden cafe. The old interpretive centre is to be retained as a storage facility. The centre, with a 20m high viewing gallery to the side, will give a 360-degree view of the entire Bay and Biosphere. DCC expect 60,00+ Domestic and International visitors to this new centre yearly. They plan to install a public display model locally and hold a public open information session in late November. CRA will notify residents as soon as these dates are to hand.
