Notice from CRA |Proposed Dublin Bay Discovery Centre

28 Nov 2019

Following our Annual General Meeting on the 8th October last we contacted Dublin City Council (DCC) with feedback from the meeting which indicated that a Public Meeting would be required to properly inform the general public about the details of this proposal and accept feedback from the community.

Unfortunately, our suggestion has not been taken on board by DCC and they have decided instead to have an open session in the Red Stables from 2 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday 3rd December next.

We urge all interested members of the public to attend this ‘Open Event’ and to let us have your comments on the proposal as soon as possible afterwards so that we can collate any points you raise and include them with our submission to An Bord Pleanala in early 2020

We can be contacted at Clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com and look forward to hearing from you.

Below is the communication we received regarding the event.

Dublin City Council is continuing with the design and planning development to build the Dublin Bay Discovery Centre in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere on Bull Island.

As part of ongoing engagement, we are seeking your views on the proposal in advance of completing the design development and lodgement of a planning application in 2020.

A public open event will take place in the Red Stables in St. Anne’s Park from 2pm until 8pm on Tuesday the 3rd of December. All are welcome to attend and meet the design team.

Attached is an invite to the session which we would appreciate if you could share with your network, neighbours and friends. Also attached is a short brochure outlining the proposal for your information.

Further information for the project will be available on www.dublincity.ie/discoverycentre on Monday next the 25th November. Separately an online survey will go live from Monday next also at https://consultation.dublincity.ie/parks/discovery-centre
