No Mow May Don’t mow, let it grow! Leave it Bee!

A message from Clontarf Residents’ Association:

One of the best and easiest actions to support pollinators is to let leave the lawn mower in the shed for the month of May and allow clover, dandelions, birds-foot trefoil etc to flower. These plants are a very important early food source for hungry insects.

Can’t bear to see the whole lawn untidy? Consider raising the level of the cut and reducing the number of times you mow, even in a small area.

Every small step will have a positive impact on our
pollinators.
