New N2 Bus Route: Connecting Clontarf to Heuston Station!
The new N2 Orbital bus route has launched as part of the latest phase of the BusConnects Network Redesign. This route offers a convenient and efficient way to travel across the city, connecting Clontarf, Griffith Avenue, Cabra, and Heuston Station, while providing excellent interchange options with other public transport services.
What Does the N2 Route Offer?
The N2 route serves key areas such as:
- Clontarf Road Station
- Griffith Avenue
- Old Finglas Road
- Ballyboggan Road
- Broombridge
- Nephin Road
- Blackhorse Avenue
- Heuston Station
This new orbital route introduces brand-new connections and interchange opportunities with other TFI bus, rail, and tram services, making travel around Dublin more convenient.
Key Benefits:
- Better Connectivity: Linking major residential and business areas, the N2 also provides easy access to several transport hubs, allowing passengers to switch to other TFI services like the Luas, DART, and commuter rail.
- Frequent Services: The N2 will run every 15-20 minutes during weekday peak hours, and approximately every 30 minutes on weekends.
- Seamless Transfers: With the TFI 90-Minute Fare, passengers can transfer between different modes of transport within 90 minutes of their first journey without incurring extra costs, as long as they use a Leap Card.
The N2 Orbital route is the first step in the wider rollout of Phase 6a of BusConnects. It’s an important addition to the public transport network, bringing together a variety of areas and providing new connections between residential, commercial, and cultural landmarks along the route.
In addition to the N2, more routes will be introduced soon, including the 24-hour Spines E1 and E2, Radial Route 19, and several local and express routes.
