New Clontarf Soccer U10's Team

14 May 2013

It has been brought to our attention recently that there has been huge interest from Clontarf locals regarding places in the Under 10's Clontarf soccer team.

Due to high demand, there are no current places as the squad is full. However, Ger McCormack, coach for the Under 10's Clontarf soccer team has proposed a second team be created due to very high demand.

This team would be run by the parents of any children looking to play. This will give more children a chance to take part in a sport that they will enjoy and will also give them a sense of accomplishment.

An open day for trials for the proposed team will be held on Saturday, June 8th from 11am - 1pm. It will take place on the small sided pitch that Clontarf have, opposite Wongs Chinese restaurant on the Clontarf Road.

Any child looking to play must be born in 2003 or after, as age rules apply and all children must also bring shin guards and football boots to the open day.

The football season starts in September 2013 and ends in may 2014. Matches would be played every Saturday (nd sl league) or Sunday (ddsl league), weather permitting. The fees would be paid at start of season and will include a soccer kit, insurance and registration.

Any enquiries regarding the open day can be sent to Damian Condon (0857144035) or Ger McCormack (0879176676).
