National Tree Week 2025

06 Mar 2025

National Tree Week is organised by the Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte. It is an annual event to celebrate the beauty and importance of Ireland’s trees.  Full details of all events can be found here.

The theme for 2025 is ‘Planting Trees, growing together’. The idea behind the theme is that “By doing something as simple as planting a tree everyone can play their part in combating biodiversity loss and climate change.”

Want to get involved?

CRA are delighted to partner with Easy Treesie and Clontarf GAA Club again this year in distributing bare root native species to the residents of Clontarf. The tree giveaway will take place on Sunday 9th March between 10:30 and 12:30 at the Clontarf GAA Clubhouse on Seafield Road.

We hope to have Alder, Birch, Silver Birch, Elder, Oak, Scots Pine and Willow available.

If every garden gave over a small under or unused piece of ground to planting a tree think of how many more trees we could have here in Clontarf.
