Mt Prospect Ave | Planning Application for 6 Storey Apartments
The following update is from the Clontarf Residents' Association and is sent on behalf of Residents, Impacted by Planning proposals at 257-259 Mount Prospect Avenue.
Mount Prospect Avenue | Planning Application for 6 Storey Apartments
An application for the construction of two Six Storey apartment blocks at 257-259 Mount Prospect Avenue has been submitted to Dublin City Council. The proposals also include plans for the demolition of the two existing homes and the destruction of a large number of the trees on the site. While Clontarf has a large number of apartment schemes already in existence (mostly three storey) this is a significant development due to the increase in height and density. As a result, we are asking for residents throughout Clontarf and indeed the City to take a look at the proposals which are available here. Here is a link to Existing & Proposed Contextual elevations
This level of scale and density could be replicated throughout residential areas and have a detrimental impact on the environment, existing residents and new buyers. Submissions in relation to the proposals must be submitted to Dublin City Council by 7 May 2019.
