Marking 50 years of Clontarf Residents' Association
You may have noticed, in the last few days, two new additions to Clontarf’s amenities, with the placement of a pair of stunning benches on Vernon Avenue, one at Mount Prospect Avenue, and the second at Seafield Road. We would like to thank Dublin City Council for installing these benches to mark 50 years of the CRA.
The benches are consciously placed to provide resting points for our community as they walk along Vernon Avenue, which has the distinction of joining two of our greatest amenities, Dublin Bay and St Anne’s Park, both of which have been the centre of major campaigns by CRA in the previous 50 years. To further enhance the area surrounding the benches, planting will be placed around each in the coming weeks, to embed them into the surroundings and to support our biodiversity aims.
CRA and DCC hope all in Clontarf will get to spend some time relaxing on these benches and enjoy watching the world go by over the next 50 years.
