Major Victory For Clontarf TKD In Irish Cup International
Over the weekend of the 29th & 30th of November, Clontarf Taekwon-do Club based in Belgrove Boys' School took part in the Irish Cup International in the University of Limerick Arena.
Taekwon-do Clubs from all over Ireland along with competitors from England, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy also challenged for top honours in this prestigious event. Despite only being two years old, Clontarf TKD finished in a fantastic 7th position out of 43 clubs. What was most unusual for the Club was that all 16 competitors won medals with one member winning two.
The total medal tally taken back from Limerick was 5 Gold, 8 Silver and 4 Bronze. A special congratulations to all, especially the New Irish Cup Champions 2014, Rowan Dowling Mahony, Sarah Reddin Conroy, Andrea Mooney, Rey Andre Medina and Fiona Chen.
