Made the Shortlist 2014 LAMA Council and Community Awards

The team here at loveclontarf.ie is very proud to have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2014 LAMA Council and Community Awards in the category for Best Connected Community.

Putting it very simply, we would like to thank everyone in the Clontarf area for helping us in making the loveclontarf.ie website a success story. It is the fact that all the people, local businesses, the CBA and CRA and the whole community as a whole have responded so well to the loveclontarf.ie website that is a point of major pride for us – Thank you.

The category we have been nominated for is the Best Connected Community. This award focuses on the community that is best connected to local councils, businesses in the local area, community groups and local COMMUNITY events. It is looking for a forum that allows people to access services easily and quickly and communicate activities and events taking place in the area with the click of a mouse.

This category TAKES into account a community’s use of social media and websites that promote community initiatives and other activities happening in the area.

The LAMA Community and Council Awards in association with IPB Insurance will be taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry on January 25th, 2014. In our category we are up against mayo.ie who have a very interesting project nominated that will be tough to beat.

So, we would like to ask everyone in Clontarf to join us in keeping fingers crossed! We will keep you posted on how we get on!
