Local Girls to Take Part in Taekwondo World Champs in Dublin!

October will see over 1000 taekwondo athletes come to Ireland to compete at the ITF Taekwon-do World Championships. 2017 will be the first year Ireland has held such a prestigious taekwondo event. 

Local girls, Rebecca Mooney and Ellen Ince (L to R in photo) are multiple medal winners at both World and European level and have high hopes of achieving medals at this level for the first time on home soil. The 2 athletes were spotted recently on our sunny seafront in Clontarf as they got promotional photos taken for the event. The pick of their achievements to date includes a fantastic 7 World Gold medals for Ellen Ince (nearest camera) and 5 European Gold for Rebecca Mooney who is still a junior and the current 2017 European Champion in her division.
