Local Author Launches Children's Book on Bereavement
Argentinian woman Teresa Menéndez Sepúlveda, who moved to Ireland almost a decade ago and resides here in Clontarf, along with her sister, Laura Menéndez Sepúlveda, has launched a children's book on bereavement locally.
The title of the book is Sammy Found a Treasure and explores bereavement and the power of love. It was born from an experience of grief in the authors' family and seeks to accompany children who have experienced the death of someone they love, but also acts as a tool to enrich the emotional world of all children in a topic that is usually taboo, until it passes close to home.
The sisters first published it in Spanish in Argentina, and have since translated it into English here in Ireland. The book is available to purchase at Spar Vernon Avenue or through the website €10+P&P here.
