Letter Re Dublin Array Project Plans

The letter below was received by the Clontarf Residents' Association.

Please read it - it concerns a proposal to construct an offshore wind farm on the Kish and Bray banks.

The Clontarf Residents' Association wishes to notify everybody that these plans are available to view and would urge anyone that feels concerned by this project to inspect the plans themselves at the designated locations mentioned below.

"Dear Sir / Madam,

This letter is to let you know that Dublin Array, a project to construct an offshore wind farm on the Kish and Bray banks, has begun a period of public consultation.

Updated environmental information about Dublin Array has been submitted to The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government. This information may be inspected from April 9th to June 1st 2013, free of charge, at the following locations during normal opening hours (for a full list of opening hours, see www.dublinarray.com):

  • Public Library, Howth, Co. Dublin
  • Public Library, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin
  • Garda Station, Bray, Co. Wicklow
  • Garda Station, Greystones, Co. Wicklow

This material may also be viewed during this period at Hall 10A (Private Pavillion), Anglesea Road Entrance, Royal Dublin Society, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am to 3pm Saturday. An additional set of photomontages displayed in a curved backlit format will also be displayed at this location to aid the public in visualising the appearance of the proposal. The environmental information is also available for download, free of charge, on the project's website here.

You may make a submission about the project directly to The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Marine Planning and Foreshore, Newtown Road, Wexford, Co. Wexford quoting reference number MS53/55/L1. Alternatively, submissions or enquiries may be made directly to Saorgus Energy by telephone on 01 2407953 or on the project website at www.dublinarray.com; any submissions will be copied to the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
