Lecture on Hugh Frazers Painting Battle of Clontarf

A week after the opening of the exhibition of the Battle of Clontarf Painting we are delighted to announce that Professor Niamh O'Sullivan is now confirmed to give two lecture this Saturday the 22nd March at the Casino, Marino.

Niamh's lecture is at 11.30am and to facilitate the huge demand she has kindly agreed to repeat her lecture again at 2pm.

The title of the lecture is 'The Battle of Clontarf: Imaging a resurgent nation'.

Niamh O'Sullivan is Professor Emeritus of Visual Culture (National College of Art and Design), and Curator of Ireland's Great Hunger Museum, Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut. She writes on nineteenth century Irish, Irish-American art and popular culture. Her book, Aloysius O'Kelly: Art, Nation, Empire was published by Field Day in 2010.

The lecture is free but booking is required. As numbers are limited names will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
