Joint Statement from CRA and I Love St Anne's

06 Apr 2018

The following is a joint statement from The Clontarf Residents' Association and The I Love St Anne's Group, in relation to the recent decision to approve the planning application at St. Paul's Playing Fields by An Bord Pleanála

I Love St Anne’s and Clontarf Residents’ Association met this afternoon to discuss the An Bord Pleanála decision to grant permission for the housing development on the playing fields to the rear of St Paul’s.

We are shocked and very disappointed with the Bord’s decision especially in the light of the Dublin City Council Report recommending refusal of the development and their recent decision to refuse permission for the sports facilities that were intended to replace the lost playing fields.

We are holding a public meeting in the Great Hall of Clontarf Castle this Tuesday 10th April at8 pm.  It is important that we have a big turn out from all interested parties.

At this stage, it would appear that the only option open to us is to go for a judicial review.  To this end we are looking for solicitors and barristers to come forward and offer their expertise in strengthening our campaign.  If you can offer assistance in this area please contact us at Clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com or ilovestannes1@gmail.com.
