Irish Wheelchair Associations Call to All Local Rugby Fans

05 Mar 2013

The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) will be holding a prize draw during this years RBS 6 Nations Rugby Tournament to raise vital funds for the IWA Resource and Outreach Centre located in Clontarf.

Two official Ireland and Leinster rugby shirts, signed by each team respectively, are up for grabs in a prize draw which will take place on Monday, 25 March 2013.

Tickets for the prize draw are €5 each and are available from directly from the IWA, Clontarf, or online here. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Robbie Cousins, IWA Fundraising Department on 01 8186497

The Association hopes to raise vital funds which will help support and maintain the level of services provided to local people with physical disabilities living in North Dublin. IWA operates a network of Resource and Outreach Centres throughout Ireland. The aim of these centres is to provide opportunities and support services to people with limited mobility so that they can lead active and independent lives in their own communities.

Declan Hamilton, IWA Coordinator in Clontarf said, 'We hope all local rugby supporters will log on to and purchase a ticket for just €5. Funds raised from the raffle of these two highly sought after jerseys will give us the means to continue to deliver educational, sporting and social activities that reflect the interests of local members'.

To enter the prize draw simply log onto www.idonate.ie/iwarugbyraffle and click on the 'Sponsor Me' button. Every €5 donation entitles an entrant to one ticket and individuals can donate as often as they like.

Please make sure to include a personal email as a receipt will be sent to secure entry in the grand prize draw which will take place in the IWA Resource and Outreach Centre, Blackheath Drive, Clontarf on Monday 25th March at 3pm.
