If ever in DOUBT, Give us a SHOUT!

05 Sep 2014

At 1pm today the Irish Coast Guard operations centre received a 999 call from somebody walking the seafront in Clontarf.

The caller reported that there were people in the water in Clontarf who may get into difficulty. Beach Lifeguards from Dollymount and a Coast Guard unit were tasked immediately.

The call turned out to be a false alarm with good intent but thanks to the public for making the call.

Howth Coast Guard’s would like to emphasise that if you are ever in doubt about someone’s safety in the water, call 112 and ask for the coast guard.

If ever in DOUBT, give us a SHOUT!
