Holy Faith Girls take home Silver for Ireland!
Well done to Holy Faith girls Maeve O' Sheaghda (right) and Bronagh Power Cassidy (left) who, along with the rest of the Ireland U18 team, took home Silver medals from the FIBA European U18 Basketball Championships held in Dublin earlier in August.
This was the first time that an Irish team of any level has finished higher than 6th place. The team beat Great Britain, Isreal, Slovak Republic and Poland along the way, reaching the final by going undefeated in 7 matches. They were defeated in the final by Germany.
The support shown, particularly by Holy Faith, was fantastic and the matches were completely sold out in the National Basketball Arena.
