Highlights from the Mighty Matthew Charity Cycle 2023
Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year's Mighty Matthew Charity Cycle! Here are some photos showcasing the highlights of the day. The one-day cycling event took place last Friday, starting from Clontarf and covering a distance of approximately 150km to reach the stopover at The Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone.
The cyclists began their journey with a welcoming breakfast in Clontarf, followed by a quick break after covering 35-40km. They then continued to their lunch stop before making their way to the Hodson Bay, where they enjoyed a celebratory dinner!
This event is open to all, with a beginner-friendly route on the quieter roads from Dublin to Athlone. It's suitable for both newcomers (with a bit of training) and experienced cyclists, all coming together to pedal for a charitable cause.
Until next year's event, you can find more information on the Matthew Hayes Trust website. Keep on cycling for a good cause!
